These AMP periods are a five year regulatory cycle for the UK water industry. It’s a framework that sets the guidelines for how water companies manage their assets, deliver services to customers, and invest in infrastructure. AMP8 runs from April 2025 to March 2030 and is overseen by Ofwat, the regulator of the privatised water and swerage industry in England.
